Chicago’s 29th Street Capital Buys Solaire Wheaton Apartment Building for $64 Million

Records filed with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation show that 29th Street Capital, a Chicago-based company continues its expansion into the Washington DC area. The company purchased Solaire Wheaton for $64M. The property is a Class A apartment building consisting of 232 units. It is located at 10914 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring near Wheaton Metrorail Station and Westfield Wheaton Mall.

The six-story building was originally built by Washington Property Co. in 2014. It will be renamed “Maven at Wheaton”. 29th Street Capital plans to upgrade its units and amenity spaces. The property boasts a fitness center, swimming pool, sundeck, and courtyard patio. Haven Residential, 29th Street Capital’s in-house management team, will manage the property.
